A lawmaker just taunted women over Kavanaugh in the most grotesque way

Since the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, there have been mixed feelings around the country.

This incident has given many people opportunity to talk down on sexually assault victims including a West Virginia lawmaker that took to Facebook to make a horrifying joke about how liberal women would soon need to endure painful and extremely dangerous back-room alley abortions using crude objects like “coat hangers” after Kavanaugh inevitably guts the landmark Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the United States.

Former “Democrat” turned independent Parkersburg City Councilman Eric Barber made the comments on Facebook after “Democrat” Senator Joe Manchin announced his support for Kavanaugh — and quickly deleted them after not getting the response he was looking for, but a furious onlooker screenshotted it for posterity:

Barber quit the Democratic Party because of its “anti-Christian rhetoric,” but judging by his history of arrests for drug possession, DUI, and breaking and entering, practicing what he preaches is not high on his agenda.

Restricting a woman’s right to abortion not only strips women of the agency of their own bodies but does nothing to reduce abortions themselves, merely forcing them to have unsafe abortions, which studies believe are the cause of one in eight pregnancy-related deaths around the world.

If conservatives actually cared about women and their well-being, they would make sure they could get abortions in safe and well-regulated facilities — but clearly, their biggest priorities are enforcing the white male patriarchy and owning the libs by killing women.

So much for “family values.”
