Pres. Donald Trump has introduced so much crazy to the White House and day-to-day politics in general, that it’s difficult to stay focused on what’s really important — and dangerous. The media is still having a hard time figuring out how to cover Trump, whose relationship with the truth is almost nonexistent. But legendary broadcaster and Trump critic Dan Rather is here to remind us of the key issues. He’s written a new post, detailing the truly important questions and points that should be brought up again and again and again. They can be summed up as: Russia, Trump’s taxes,…

Yesterday Barack Obama made his first major public appearance since leaving the White House. Seeing him reminded many of the current White House occupant’s many shortcomings. The contrast between the two — an intelligent, warm man and compassionate leader on one hand, and an unintelligible orange lunatic on the other — could not be sharper. With Trump approaching the end of his first 100 days in office, let’s take a look back, at some of the important moments of Barack Obama’s own first 100 days as president. Following an inauguration attended by an estimated 1.8 million people, President Barack Obama and…

Thin-skinned failure Donald Trump continues to talk about Hillary Clinton, one of his two obsessions (the other being former President Barack Obama). In the wake of yet another round of disappointing poll results showing that his approval ratings are still in the tank, Trump tweeted: He failed to mention his actual approval rating, which at 42% is the lowest for any president in his first 100 days since polling was introduced, or the fact that the majority, 59%, think he’s temperamentally unfit to lead, and more. People on Twitter were quick to react again:

Is Sean Hannity the next Fox News host going down? A former Fox News guest has just accused him of improper conduct. During an interview with Pat Campbell’s Oklahoma-based radio show, Debbie Schlussel, who used to regularly appear on Fox News, said that Hannity once invited her to his hotel room before a taping. Schlussel rejected Hannity’s untoward advances, and says she was never invited to speak on Hannity’s show again. “He had some event at a bookstore where he signed his book for people standing in line. He asked me to come meet him at this book signing,” Schlussel said…

Wouldn’t it be nice to have Bill Clinton as First Spouse instead of the vapid, reluctant one we’re stuck with now? The former president proved he was sharp as ever when he took to Twitter to poke fun at Donald Trump. Clinton certainly hasn’t lost his sense of humor. He tweeted a photo from the Clinton Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, where there is a new temporary exhibit on the fascinating world of insects: Clinton of course was mocking the current president’s unhinged accusation that Barack Obama had wiretapped him during the campaign. But the former president also managed to draw attention…

“So, uh, what’s been going on while I’ve been gone?” deadpanned Former President Barack Obama at the beginning of his speech at the University of Chicago today. The speech, which was broadcast live across multiple platforms due to high demand, was Obama’s first public address since leaving office. He had taken an extended vacation and begun working on his next book, a new memoir. Now he was back, hosting a panel of young community leaders in the Chicago area. His remarks focused on his past as a community organizer, and his plans for the near future, which he hopes would…

First Lady Melania Trump never wanted the job and is still fighting her new role and responsibilities, according to a detailed portrait in Vanity Fair. The magazine interviewed a number of people in the Trumps’ circle, and the picture that emerges of Melania is pretty damning. The magazine describes in detail the relationship between Donald and Melania Trump, from its beginnings on to the present. It’s clear to everyone that Melania’s purpose in the marriage was to serve as “an advertisement for his virility,” and “propping up Donald’s sexual prowess” even when that included “some public self-degradation” — such as…

A former Kentucky judge who has been arrested on charges of multiple felonies — including human trafficking and illegal sexual activity with a minor — has ties to the Trump campaign. Tim Nolan has also been described as “a racist” and a Tea party supporter. According to Cincinnatti.com, Court documents don’t give much detail about the incident or incidents that led to the charges. Authorities allege in the criminal complaint Nolan in August 2016 induced a minor into illegal sexual activity and gave alcohol to the minor. It doesn’t say how old the victim was. Nolan was released on $50,000…

Looks like Donald Trump can’t even carry out the simplest presidential tasks without messing up. This includes tasks like meeting wounded veterans. During his first visit to Walter Reed National Medical Center, Trump insisted he award a Purple Heart to a wounded soldier himself. The medal is awarded to those wounded or killed in service. Sgt. 1st Class Alvaro Barrientos was one of three U.S. soldiers wounded at a base in Helmand province in Afghanistan. Barrientos was gravely wounded and lost a leg in the attack. In a horrifying misstep, instead of thanking Barrientos for his service, praising him and…

During Pres. Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office, which are about to come to a close, he hasn’t traveled abroad even once. This is in stark contrast with his predecessors, and it raises a whole lot of questions. Trump spent these 100 days in Washington, with the occasional ego-boosting field trip to a state he carried in the election, and of course with the regularly scheduled golfing weekends at Trump properties. By contrast, in his first term Barack Obama had visited nine foreign countries (the U.K., France, Germany, Turkey, Iraq, and Mexico. George W. Bush had traveled to Mexico…
