Turn your sound up and watch President Trump conduct an amazing symphony — er, press conference https://t.co/NvBabma6MO pic.twitter.com/zsCztWPPtK — CNN (@CNN) February 17, 2017 It appears CNN has fired another salvo in their war with President Donald Trump. This evening, the network put together a clip of Trump’s most outlandish hand gestures at today’s mammoth news conference — all set to classical music, as if POTUS were a conductor. Considering the network pushing back on Trump for ridiculing its coverage and calling them “fake news,” one wonders if CNN isn’t doing themselves any favors with this action, as they aren’t…

Donald Trump’s administration is considering mobilising as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorised immigrants, it has been reported. The Associated Press obtained a draft memo that calls for the unprecedented militarisation of the US immigration enforcement. But if implemented, governors in 11 states included in the draft memo would have final say on how many troops are actually deployed. The draft memo, written by Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, includes four states that border Mexico – Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California – but extends to seven contiguous states  – Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma,…

Melania Trump is reportedly “miserable” in her new role as First Lady, where she faces increasing media scrutiny. According to sources speaking with US Weekly, the wife of Donald Trump didn’t sign up to be in the political spotlight when she married him in 2005. The reluctance to play the role of wife of the president may be why the very private Melania has remained in their Manhattan penthouse while Trump spends his weekdays at the White House. According to a friend of the family, the former model, “Is unhappy with how her life ended up. She is miserable.”…

Several White House staffers were dismissed Thursday morning after failing FBI background checks, according to sources familiar with the matter. Some of the aides were “walked out of the building by security” on Wednesday after not passing the SF86, a Questionnaire for National Security Positions for security clearance. Among those who won’t be working at the White House was President Donald Trump’s director of scheduling, Caroline Wiles, the daughter of Susan Wiles, Trump’s Florida campaign director and former chief of staff to Governor Rick Scott. Wiles, who resigned Friday before the background check was completed, was appointed deputy assistant secretary…

Despite his well-documented obsession with appearing on magazine covers, President Donald Trump may not be as keen on collecting the cover of the week’s Time magazine. Illustrated by Tim O’Brien for the accompanying story “Inside Donald Trump’s White House Chaos,” this week’s cover reflects the tumultuous first month of Trump’s presidency, which included a botched ban on travel from seven majority-Muslim countries, revelations about the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, and a failed Cabinet nominee and national security adviser. Pres. Donald Trump’s wild and unhinged press conference on Thursday set tongues wagging across the Internet and, apparently, in the halls of Congress as well. CNN’s John King said he received a message from a Republican senator who wrote, “He should do this with a therapist, not on live television.” At what was ostensibly meant to be the announcement of Trump’s new nomination for Secretary of Labor on Thursday, the president launched into a series of long-winded tirades where he lambasted the press, U.S. intelligence agencies, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and anyone else he perceives as hostile to…

CNN’s Jake Tapper on Wednesday humiliated Donald Trump’s claim that the barrage of negative news stories related to his administration are “conspiracy theories,” taking moment to explain to the president what differentiates a conspiracy theory from actual, real news. Discussing the Trump administration’s ever-changing story surrounding the resignation of former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, Tapper noted today the president gave a “quite different explanation” than White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave earlier this week. Whereas Spicer said at a press conference Tuesday that Flynn’s resignation was “a matter of trust,” Trump today blamed Flynn’s firing on the “unfair”…

U.S. national security officials are reportedly ready to “go nuclear” after President Donald Trump’s latest attack on the intelligence community. In a series of tweets on Tuesday and Wednesday, Trump insisted that the “real scandal” was not that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn lied about his contact with Russia. Instead, the president blasted what he said were “un-American” leaks that led to Flynn’s ousting. On Wednesday, former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler provided some insight into the reaction of national security officials. “Now we go nuclear,” he wrote on Twitter. “[Intelligence community] war going to new levels. Just got…

When it comes to Obamacare, many Americans can tell you they hate it and will vote against it. They fail to realize that the system is not perfect but was meant as a step in the right direction. It included several benefits to encompass occupations that are thought to be remnants of the past. One of those occupations is coal mining. While many coal miners did not agree with Trump’s rhetoric, they voted for him because he promised to reopen the mines. As of February 2017, he has failed to deliver his promise and while many coal miners blame environmentalists, economists…

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski on Wednesday announced that she would no longer allow Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, to be booked on Morning Joe. “I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Brzezinski announced on Wednesday’s Morning Joe. “I don’t believe in fake news or information that is not true. That is — everytime I’ve ever seen her on television something is askew, off, or incorrect.” Brzezinski’s co-host, Joe Scarborough, defended Conway, insisting, “I don’t even think she’s saying something she knows to be untrue.” “She’s just saying things…
