One of the 13 women who accused Donald Trump of sexual abuse will pursue the case through legal channels, according to attorney Gloria Allred. The Daily Beast reports that Allred told the outlet that she will be filing papers against Trump in court today on behalf of her client. She also announced that she will hold a press conference about the case Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. PT to answer questions about the litigation.
The woman’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, revealed that her client had filed a lawsuit today – and will reveal more details at a press conference at 11.30 LA time.
Several women have previously accused Trump of sexual assault – claims which he has strenuously denied.
On the campaign trail last year, Trump said, ‘Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign.
‘Total fabrication. The events never happened. Never. All of these liars will be sued after the election is over.’
It’s not known whether Allred’s client is someone who has previously spoken out.
Last year, Trump faced controversy after The Washington Post and NBC News released a 2005 video on which Mr Trump describes trying to have sex with a married woman.
He also bragged about women letting him kiss and grab them because he is famous.
