President Donald ETrump’s kids are enjoying the political spotlight but not in a great way. They have always met backlash from Americans.
However, Eric Trump has not been swimming in the pool of scandals that have plagued the family. In an interview with Westchester Magazine, Eric talked about the way politics has impacted his family.
Eric said, “My father’s life became exponentially worse the minute he decided to run for President.” He continued, “He didn’t need to do this, but he was immensely frustrated with where the country was going.” He added, “There would be far fewer headaches if it weren’t for politics.”
Eric’s wife Lara told interviewers that members of the family sometimes “pine for the old days.” Eric and Lara Trump have an infant son named Luke who was born last year. The couple lives in Westchester.
In the interview, Eric said that he and his adult siblings, Ivanka and Don Jr. understand that they will be in the political spotlight. He acknowledged that the three adult Trumps are fair game for critics. He was very clear, however, that some of the Trump children should be strictly off limits.
He said of himself, Don Jr., and Ivanka “We are adults, we’ve developed a bit of an armor.” He was very clear to add, “But Barron and Tiffany should be 100 percent off-limits.”
Barron is the youngest Trump. He is 12 years old and the only child of Donald and Melania. Tiffany is a 24-year-old law student and the only child of Donald and his former wife Marla Maples.
