Another Bush for Clinton? It certainly appears that way. Last month, rumors swirled that former President George H.W. Bush has been telling friends that he plans to vote for Hillary Clinton in November. The Bush family neither confirmed nor denied the reports. Over the weekend, Barbara Bush, the granddaughter of George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush and the daughter of former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush made an appearance in Paris at a swanky fundraiser for Hillary Clinton.
Photos showing the younger Barbara Bush posing with longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin surfaced on social media along with the #ImWithHer hashtag. The fundraiser was being hosted by Abedin and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. A spokesperson for former President George W. Bush declined to comment, but this show of support brings the number of members of the Bush family apparently voting for Clinton to two. And if youread between the lines of comments made by former first lady Laura Bush at the Women in the World New York Summit back in April when she said, “I want candidates who will pay attention to our history and know how we can do good things around the world,” it could mean three Bushes are lining up behind Clinton. The former first lady was joined onstage by her daughters, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush.
