Trump just made the first apology of his presidency and women are up in arms about it

President Donald Trump has added insult to injury after Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation as a Supreme Court Justice, by offering an apology to Kavanaugh on behalf of the American people.

Trump has defended his new justice and disingenuously tried to paint the accusations as a hoax and partisan smear perpetrated by the Democrats against an innocent man.

In reality, Christine Blasey Ford and the other women who claim Kavanaugh victimized them came forward out of a sense of patriotism and a desire to keep a sexual predator off the nation’s highest court. Their courage was rewarded with death threats and mockery from the Trumpian right.

As the president spoke, Justice Kavanaugh lurked nearby, looking deeply uncomfortable and guilty throughout the proceedings… The truth is, Trump has no right to speak “on behalf” of most Americans because most Americans don’t want Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
